The purpose of this Mobile Talks session, held under the framework of the XII Congreso Nacional de la Abogacía (12th Spanish Congress on Law), is to debate the necessary transformation and digitalisation of the legal sector. To do so, a global approach is proposed, through success stories from organisations and promoters of the digital transformation through several lines of debate.
This session will look at the current digitalisation process in law offices. It is an opportunity to reflect on the keys to digitalisation, technological opportunities and innovation that are transforming the sector.
Plus, this session aims to delve deeper into the new challenges of the digital economy and debate on the essential digitalisation of small firms and freelance professionals in today’s society. Another noteworthy theme in this session will be the impact of implementing digital processes in legal organisations to optimise processes and cut costs, as well as the new players coming on the scene, like for example legaltech start-ups.
It will also cover the disruption that comes with incorporating technology such as big data, machine learning, artificial intelligence and blockchain in a legal setting.
Pablo Rabanal has a degree in Business from ICADE, a Master in Audiovisual Business Management and a Master in Internet Business (MIB-ISDI). An entrepreneur with extensive professional experience, after suffering at the hands of a phone service provider, he decided to set up Reclamador.es in 2012. After just a few years, he now heads up a multidisciplinary team of over 100 professionals that has helped more than 250,000 people with their claims against businesses, winning them more than €36 million in compensation. At South Summit 2017, he won the award for the best B2C start-up, chosen from among thousands of candidates from 70 countries.
Sara Molina is CEO of Marketingnize, coach and digital transformation consultant involved in modelling business processes and technological solutions (AI, RPA). She has a degree in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid, Master in Business and Law for Telecommunications, Internet and Audiovisuals from Villanueva University and Master in Coaching and PNL from Asociación Internacional de Coaching y Psicología. She is the coordinator and author of Manual de Dirección, Gestión y Marketing Jurídico, author of the book El Abogado 3.0 (Editorial Ley 57, 2014) and co-author of Ellas: retos, amenazas y oportunidades en un mundo conectado (La Ley, 2019).
Francesc Muñoz has a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and an MBA from ESADE Business School. CIO at Cuatrecasas since 1998, he was named CIO of the year in 2017 and is a member of the board for the ESADE Alumni Digital Business Club and of CIOs.cat. In 2016, with Telefónica Open Future, he launched a ground-breaking open-innovation initiative, creating Cuatrecasas Acelera: the first acceleration programme for legaltech start-ups.
Paloma Aparicio specialises in data protection and DPO certification, as well as being a specialist in legaltech and the transformation of legal businesses. Legal coordinator for GDPR application in 26 European companies for a US mass-consumption multinational corporation. She has many years of experience as an in-house lawyer and in compliance. She is currently exploring blockchain and other types of disruptive technology.
