Mobile World Capital, with the collaboration of Barcelona Tech City, is organizing the second edition of their Mobile Talks: ‘Technology trends’, an event specifically designed as a follow-up to the Mobile World Congress, for reflecting on the technologies that most stood out at said congress. The session will feature a panel of experts who will debate and think out loud about our present times and the challenges this industry now faces after the event. 5G will likely become one of the central themes of Mobile World Congress 2018. Thanks to its low latency, this technology will transform the way we connect and allow an endless number of applications in many fields, such as the IoT, intelligent cities and connected cars, among many others.
Other new technologies like artificial intelligence, virtual reality, robotics and even autonomous vehicles and drones will also be in the spotlight thanks to their high market penetration. They are an example of technologies that are offering innovative solutions and responding to the new demands of our society. Don't miss this Mobile Talks on technology trends. Carlos Grau
CEO of the Mobile World Capital Barcelona
With a degree in industrial engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and having studied a Management Training Programme (PDD) at IESE, Carlos Grau has enjoyed an impressive career both in the field of information and communication technology and digital business development. After holding several management positions in sales and marketing in companies within the ICT sector, such as Hewlett-Packard, Accenture, Telefónica and Microsoft, in November 2017, Carlos Grau was named CEO of the Mobile World Capital Barcelona Foundation (MWCB).
Ferran Jover
CEO & Co-Founder of Carnovo
Ferran is CEO & Co-Founder of Carnovo, the first Marketplace for brand new cars dealer offers since the beginning of 2017. Previously he was Global Head of Dealer Network Development at SEAT and held several management positions in Sales, After sales and Strategy fields within the Brand. Ferran started his career at Daimler Chrysler in Germany and the US. With an international background and over 15 years of corporate and his current start-up experience he has a comprehensive overview of the automotive ecosystem.
Josep M. Ganyet
CEO at Mortensen
Computer engineer who graduated at the UAB and specializes in digital image and artificial intelligence. He has worked since the 1990s in the field of human interaction with computers at companies like IBM, Deutsche Bank and Gotomedia. He has founded companies in the fields of design, communication and archaeology. In 1998 he wrote his first blog and is currently managing the digital transformation consulting He teaches at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and at the IDEP design school; he regularly collaborates with RAC1, BTV and Tv3; and writes in La Vanguardia, Viaempresa, Cavall Fort and Sàpiens on topics related to digital dissemination. He is a member of the ISOC (Internet Society) and a founding member of the AIPO (the Spanish Human-Computer Interaction Association). Juan Cambeiro
Responsible for Technological Innovation at Telefónica
Juan Cambeiro is responsible for the leadership and deployment of innovation projects at Telefónica Spain. In the last 10 years, he has been looking for new technologies and opportunities, evaluating their potential for the business of Telefónica and developing, in close collaboration with the final customer, “hard tested” innovation projects aiming at evaluating the reality of new technologies, their value for the business, and contributing to the early development of markets. As part of his most recent activity, he has been leading projects related to critical communications for Industry 4.0 and retail,  M2M and Internet of Things, Portable LTE Networks, Big Data and Data Marketplaces for tourism, retail and industry, along with many others, looking always for the real value behind the technology. Telecommunications Engineer, MBA, and trained in Systematic Innovation, always involved in the IT and Telco industries through his experience in companies like Nokia, Ericsson and Telefónica, he declares himself an enthusiast of innovation and its applicability in all professional areas, including technology, business, organizational or a as mere technique for problem solving.
Sergio Cortés
Founder and serial entrepreneur at Cink
Entrepreneur focused on technological companies, he is expert in digital innovation, prototyping and digital transformation. He develops and manages projects with a high strategic impact for organizations through technical assistance and execution in the area of ​​innovation and communication, bringing large companies closer to the model of innovation that is applied by leading startups in the market. He also collaborates as advisor in many organizations among which are banking entities, administrations and solidarity projects. He is an Industrial Engineer and has studies at ESADE. He has also attended the Executive Program for Growing Companies at Stanford University in California and is a graduate of MIT's Entrepreneurship Center (Massachusetts).
